Being the lucky person as I am I noticed that my back started to hurt which got really bad on
the second day. After close examination I first thought it might be a parasite again because
it was something under the skin and was longish, however we decided to go to the Bangkok
Hospital Phuket since it was the best around.
Located at the north a bit outside of Phuket town it took us 30min by foot to get there. After the
registration and a quick look from a nurse it was clear that I had an abscess which had to be cut out. So after some more waiting I was lying on a table with 2 injections for the local anesthesia. After
another 20min (overall ca. 3h) everything was over and we were able to leave the hospital.
