Nonetheless, the charm of this palace is still present and due to the turquoise color of the water is very beautiful to look upon.

We didn't expect that the entrance fees will be that hogh but nonetheless it is totally worth it.
The Borobudur is generally a huge stupa with three levels which symbolize the being on earth. The first level Khamadhatu means the usual every day life on earth, the second level Rupadhatu means our spiritual life and the last level called Arupadhatu is Nirvana so the complete disengagement of the world.
If you want to learn something about the history and the various stories/ scenes of Buddhas life, which are carved into the Borobudur, it is advisable to get a guide for 50k IDR per person.
The Prambanan consists of eight small temples and is the most important temple of the Hindus in Java. The biggest temple is dedicated to Shiva, the god of destruction, and each other temple serves another god. Walking around those ruins and to imagine the dedication and man power to build those temples is just amazing.
